Mario Pulvirenti is originally from Siracusa (Italy), where he begins studying the cello. It is through music that he approaches lutherie, attending the Archimedearchi workshop, where his passion for this art is born and developed. 

In 2019 he moves to Cremona to train at the International School of Lutherie "Antonio Stradivari", where he graduates in 2023 under the guidance of masters Luca Bellini, Andrea Varazzani, Alessandro Commendulli and Alessandro Voltini. Alongside his academic training, he deepens his practice of lutherie by attending several artisan workshops. 

In particular, he has collaborated with master Marco Nolli, specializing in the maintenance of double basses, and with master Marco Osio. Under Osio's guidance he refines the constructive and stylistic techniques of classical Cremonese lutherie, developing a personal taste combined with respect for tradition. 

His instruments are made exclusively with seasoned woods of the highest quality and are inspired by the great Cremonese masters such as Amati, Stradivari and Guarneri, with particular attention to both style and acoustic qualities. 

He uses alcohol and oil varnishes, adapting them to the specific needs of each instrument. 

Since 2024 he has opened his own workshop in Cremona. In the same year he participated in the ANLAI lutherie competitions in Pisogne, G.B. Guadagnini in Piacenza and the prestigious XVII International Triennial Lutherie Competition in Cremona. He is a member of the Italian Lutherie Association (A.L.I.).
